About Ben 10: World Rescue
Ben 10: World Rescue is a side-scrolling action platformer based on Cartoon Network's Ben 10 reboot series. When Gwen and Grandpa Max are captured, Ben Tennyson must travel around the world, battle dangerous enemies, and use the Omnitrix to rescue his family. The adventure takes place across several international locations, each filled with hostile forces, platforming hazards, and alien-powered combat.
Gameplay and Objective
Your mission is to complete stages across different locations, defeat enemies, survive environmental hazards, and uncover the villains responsible for the kidnapping. Each area challenges you to navigate streets and platforms while fighting guards, robots, and other hostile creatures.
Unlike an endless runner, World Rescue contains structured missions and levels with clear objectives. The gameplay combines platforming, close-range combat, special attacks, and collecting items that help Ben survive.
Travel Around the World
The adventure features five major locations: Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Yucatan, and London. Each location introduces different environments and enemy encounters, with the available alien transformations changing across the missions.
Mission 1 begins with five playable aliens:
- Four Arms: Paris
- XLR8: Rio de Janeiro
- Stinkfly: Tokyo
- Slapback: Yucatan
- Cannonbolt: London
Completing the first mission unlocks additional challenges in Mission 2, where Ben gains access to another set of alien transformations.
Alien Transformations and Combat
Each playable alien has its own fighting abilities, making the different missions feel distinct. Some aliens rely on strength and close-range attacks, while others use speed, projectiles, or specialized combat powers.
Mission 2 introduces five more aliens: Heatblast, Rath, Humungousaur, Shock Rock, and Diamondhead. Together with the first five, they bring the total number of playable transformations to ten.
Special attacks are generally more powerful than standard attacks but consume stamina. Choosing when to use them is important, especially when facing stronger enemies or several opponents at once.
Enemies and Boss Battles
Ben encounters armed guards, dangerous robots, and other enemies while exploring each location. Some attack from a distance, while others attempt to stop Ben at close range. Environmental hazards such as traps and gaps also threaten his progress.
The adventure builds toward confrontations with major villains, including Forever Knight and Kevin Levin. These encounters test your knowledge of the alien's abilities and require careful timing to defeat more powerful opponents.
Health, Stamina, and Pickups
The game features separate Health and Stamina meters. Taking damage reduces health, while performing special attacks consumes stamina. Running out of health ends the attempt.
Green pickups help restore health, while blue pickups replenish stamina. Collecting these items makes it easier to survive longer sections and prepare for tougher fights.
