Ben 10: The Return of Psyphon

Ben 10: The Return of Psyphon is a 2013 side-scrolling beat 'em up developed by Purple Tree Studio and published by Cartoon Network. Based on Ben 10: Omniverse, the game follows Ben Tennyson and his partner Rook Blonko as they fight to stop Psyphon and his alien forces from causing destruction in Undertown.

Gameplay and Objective

Choose between Ben's Shocksquatch form and Rook, or team up with a second player to control both characters. Fight your way through enemy-filled environments using punches, ranged attacks, jumps, and powerful combinations.

The adventure consists of five levels, beginning with combat training at Plumber Headquarters. Later missions take you to Mr. Baumann's shop and the tunnels beneath Undertown, where you must defeat enemies and deactivate dangerous bombs before completing each stage.

Characters and Alien Abilities

• Shocksquatch: Ben's electric-powered alien uses close-range punches, lightning blasts, and jumping attacks to fight enemies.
• Rook Blonko: Ben's partner uses punches and his Proto-Tool to attack enemies at close range or from a distance.
• Bloxx: Appears during a charging combo attack performed by Ben.
• Armodrillo: Provides a powerful special strike when the required special meter is filled.
• Gravattack: Performs a stronger special attack that requires more stored energy.

Five Action-Packed Levels

Each mission introduces different environments and challenges:

• Level 1 – Plumber Headquarters: Complete combat training and learn the basic controls.
• Level 2 – Mr. Baumann's Shop: Defeat enemies and disable a bomb.
• Level 3 – Undertown Tunnels: Battle enemy groups and deactivate multiple bombs.
• Level 4 – Undertown Tunnels: Continue through increasingly dangerous encounters and bomb threats.
• Level 5 – Undertown: Defeat Psyphon's forces and confront Psyphon himself.

Enemies and Combat Challenges

Fight familiar enemies from Ben 10: Omniverse, including Liam, Fistina, Bubble Helmet, and Thunderpig. Different opponents require careful positioning and well-timed attacks. Watch your health, avoid being surrounded, and use jumping attacks or ranged abilities to interrupt approaching enemies.

Successful combinations fill the special attack meter, allowing you to unleash stronger moves against groups of enemies. First aid kits restore health, while Plumber Badges contribute to your special attacks.

Tips for Playing

• Mix close and ranged attacks: Use punches on nearby enemies and projectiles against distant targets.
• Use air attacks: Combine jumping with attacks to strike from above.
• Build your special meter: Perform combos and save powerful attacks for difficult encounters.
