About Ben 10: Action Attack
Ben 10: Action Attack is a reaction-based action game from Cartoon Network's Ben 10: Omnitrix Glitch collection, inspired by the 2016 Ben 10 animated series. After an Omnitrix malfunction leaves Ben trapped inside the device, he must use his Omni-Enhanced alien transformations to overcome dangerous obstacles and fight his way through its malfunctioning systems.
Gameplay and Objective
Instead of directly controlling every movement, you guide an alien that advances automatically through each course. When an obstacle appears, the action slows down and the game presents several possible responses. Your objective is to choose the correct action before the available decision time runs out.
A correct decision allows the alien to pass the danger and continue. Choosing an unsuitable action, or failing to respond in time, ends the attempt. Successfully navigating every obstacle is necessary to finish the level.
Obstacles and Action Choices
The courses feature different threats, including laser barriers, walls, ground spikes, robotic enemies, and other hazards inside the Omnitrix. Each situation requires you to consider which action is most effective.
- Jump: Helps an alien clear certain ground-level obstacles and dangerous gaps.
- Slide: Provides a way past low openings or hazards that block the upper path.
- Block: Protects against attacks that cannot be safely avoided by other actions.
- Attack: Allows an alien to confront enemies or destroy obstacles blocking the route.
Not every obstacle has only one solution. Some situations can be resolved with more than one correct action, so understanding the danger is more important than memorizing a single response for every encounter.
Omni-Enhanced Aliens
Action Attack features Ben's Omni-Enhanced transformations from the reboot series. Different aliens perform the available actions in their own distinctive ways, adding variety to the obstacle courses.
Some encounters also offer a mystery option marked with a question mark. Selecting it triggers a special, unpredictable animation that successfully gets the alien past the obstacle. These unusual actions include humorous sequences involving aliens such as XLR8, Four Arms, and Cannonbolt.
Levels and Increasing Difficulty
The game contains nine levels, with new obstacles and combinations of choices appearing as you progress. Early encounters introduce the basic action system, while later courses demand quicker recognition and more careful decisions.
The challenge comes from reacting under pressure rather than fighting with attack combinations. A single incorrect response can end the attempt, so learning to identify hazards is essential for completing every level.
Tips for Completing Levels
- Identify the obstacle: Look at the danger ahead before choosing an action.
- Learn action types: Understand when jumping, sliding, blocking, or attacking is appropriate.
- Watch the decision window: You have limited time to respond when the action slows down.
- Remember successful choices: Use previous attempts to recognize hazards that appear again.
- Consider multiple solutions: Some obstacles can be overcome with more than one suitable action.
- Look for mystery actions: The question-mark option provides a special way to pass certain encounters.
- Stay focused: Later levels introduce more complex sequences that leave less room for hesitation.
